This building was originally a nails factory. Bordered by a creek it used water to drive a impeller. 
Subsequently producing electricity.

We bought it in September 2004 to transform it into a family home for the living area and 2 cottages in the barn.

It took us two years to finally get the permission to transform it.
And then four years of work to complete all.

Thanks to family and friends and all workers that have made this great achievement.

The Regional Natural Park of Massif des Bauges, shared between Savoie and Haute-Savoie, 25 km from Annecy and Aix-les-Bains, is an exceptional site for holidays and recreation. The Massif des Bauges offers many activities throughout the year with its hiking trails : on foot, on horseback, with a donkey, cycling, skiing, or snowshoeing ... 
And discover La Compôte, a typical village with its meadows dotted with grangettes.
A tour is organized in July and August.

In Summer :

Leisure center of Lescheraines :

Swimming in the lake with a demarcated shallow bath (-1,20m) for children laid out and watched.

Many other free services : paddling pool and playground for children - Golf stabilized football - basketball - volleyball - bowls - ping pong - path to the waterfall of Pissieu - a fitness trail, consists of 10 workshops, open to the whole family and a lake for fishing.

Hikes and walks of all levels around the village and across mountain with the Bauges Wildlife Natural Reserve. Documentation in apartment.

Fishing in the river is possible with the Chéran : a first class river ! For trout fishing lovers, you can practice along the Chéran, near Le Châtelard and Lescheraines villages. Remember to buy your fishing licence in the tourist office or in a tobacco store.
